From : Special Agent Fox Mulder.Case No. X - 198473A - Bright Falls 2010The reopening of X - File X - 198473A was granted in 2023 when the re-emergence of writer Alan Wake was discovered by Agents Anderson and Casey they were in Bright Falls investigating a cult known as Cult of The Tree —— nothing to do with X - 198473A.However when I heard in their reports they had met Alan Wake , I contacted A.D Skinner immediately and presented the file to him ; permission to fly out to Bright Falls was granted that day.Whilst I was there , I met an Agent named Keith Vincent from The Federal Bureau of Control who was also assigned to the case , we agreed it would be in the best interest of the FBI and FBC that we work together to absolve the true meaning and disappearance of Alan Wake.We met with the townspeople who reiterated what was mentioned in the file about the Deer Fest , the previous Agents who were here - there was nothing new as no one had actually seen Alan Wake themselves except for a waitress known only as Rose.She said Alan had been out of ‘ The Dark Place ‘ since his emergence in 2023 and often visited Bright Falls because he liked the blend of coffee , as for his current whereabouts there was no clear answer from Rose as she seemed a little — in Vincent's words — unreliable.We flew back to Washington and then from there we went and flew out to redacted to visit The FbC to try and gain more information on the whereabouts of Alan Wake.To our utmost surprise , the writer was already in there , he was wearing a visitors badge and he was waiting in an interview room - he had the knowledge we were looking for him. As to where he got that knowledge , at the time , we could only assume that Rose had given it to him.I would appreciate from hereon out , nothing is redacted from X - 198473A as I believe it is in the best interest of the FBI and the good of the people that this information become readily available upon request lest someone else succumbs to the same fate Alan Wake did.Everything under here has been redacted by the FBI and the FBC as a means to preserve the integrity of the institutions.There will be no further discussion and every copy and hard copy of this file has been deleted and given to the FBC as a means of trust.What agent Mulder discovered will never be given to the public or made public knowledge as a sign of mutual respect from the FBI to the FBC.Agent Vincent as part of the FBC had overseen this redacted by A.D Skinner and us satisfied with the precautions that had have been given.Agent Mulder will not be made aware of these redactions and his hard copy of the Bright Falls X - File is to be destroyed upon completion.It is with this belief that Alan Wake was taken , the case has been processed and handed over to The FBC as they are investigating these claims.The X - File will remain in my office until satisfactory closure.Special Agent Fox Mulder
